I've begun writing a small instruction for installing djbdns on Mac OS X. It's not anyway near completion but - as my friend and colleague Peter advocates - it's sometimes better to publish a half-baked idea in order to spread the knowledge, the alternative often being ``nothing at all."
Occationally I write some software and, according to the above mentioned philosophy of getting something out of the door because it might help somebody, I decided to let you have a look.
If you want your Mac OS X machine to have more than one IP address this startup item might be of use: IPAliases.tar.gz. Note: this is one way to do it, and is nice if you perform most of your administration tasks—including changing IP addresses—remotely using the command line. On the other hand, a better solution might be to use the Network Preferences panel to simply add another port.
